Our special guest the Mayor of  Eastwood, Cllr David Townes, joined us for our Christmas Party.  On behalf of Eastwood Town Council he kindly presented Eastwood Memory Cafe with a cheque for £500, which will cover our hall rental costs for the coming year and a second cheque for £210.48, collected at the Mayor's Christmas Civic Service.  Springbank Primary School Choir gave a wonderful performance, enjoyed by all and we had nostalgic songs from Mick, Alan and Roy.  A fabulous afternoon enjoyed by all.

A fabulous afternoon of entertainment with Oldish Spice and Simon Thompson and a chance for us all to sing along.

    Chair Yoga by Susanne Stanley

Susanne has been teaching yoga for about 7 years and trained with The British Wheel of Yoga.

"Because of the health benefits of yoga, I believe that yoga should be made available to everyone, not everyone can get up and down to the floor easily and so that is one of the reasons I started the chair yoga group up in Kimberley.  I teach 6 classes of yoga a week in Watnall, Ilkeston and Heanor.  I'm also a qualified teacher for yoga for healthy lower backs, which is a 12 week course especially designed for people with lower back problems"

The legendary Don Chambers, member of the Magic Circle entertained us with his talents.
